Two Purdue Students Arrested for Buying and Selling Drugs on Dark Web
Two 18-year-old Purdue University students have been arrested and charged with buying and selling drugs on the dark web, including over a pound of marijuana and 77 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms.
Charges and Arrests
Aadvik Bhargava and Nicolas Kichukov, both 18-year-old students at Purdue University, have been arrested and charged with multiple counts of dealing and possession of controlled substances, marijuana, and false government identification.
Investigation Details
The investigation began on October 30, when a police officer saw a white Mercedes-Benz speeding without headlights or taillights. The driver, Kichukov, fled the scene, but was later found parked on Cincinnati Street with Bhargava. Police found multiple bags of marijuana, THC vapes and gummies, and other drug-related items in the car.
Dark Web Purchases
According to court records, Bhargava and Kichukov bought the drugs on the dark web and sold them to others on campus. The two students allegedly used fake IDs to purchase the drugs and planned to sell them to other students.
Charges and Penalties
Both students face several charges, including:
- Dealing controlled substances (a Level 2 felony)
- Possession of controlled substances
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of false government identification
Kichukov also faces an additional charge of resisting arrest.
Current Status
Bhargava is currently in jail, while Kichukov was released after posting bond. The investigation is ongoing, and further charges may be filed.
