South London Man Jailed for Role in UKWhite Dark Web Cocaine Operation

A 43-year-old man from South London has been sentenced to eight years in prison for his role in a complex dark web cocaine operation.

Investigation and Conviction

Helio Delfini, of Rotherhithe Street in Southwark, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply cocaine in March last year. Delfini was part of a group that operated under the dark web vendor name UKWhite, along with Lucas Costa and Bruno Teles.

Operation Details

The investigation, led by the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit (SWROCU), found that the group had made thousands of transactions through the UKWhite account. Over 14 months, they distributed more than 28kg of high-purity cocaine.

Investigation Methods

According to Detective Inspector Ross Flay, the group used anonymising technology and cryptocurrency-based payments to run their operation from Delfini's home in London.

Sales and Distribution

The group sold cocaine in quantities ranging from half a gram to bulk shipments of 100 grams or more. The investigation began in 2020 and led to the identification and prosecution of the individuals involved.
